What I did on Stori

Role : Game & Level Designer

  • Pitched the concept
  • Designed  and  documented  the  functioning  of  the  core mechanics of comic’s gutters creation & destruction
  • Puzzle designs around several mechanics and features
  • Helped to level integration on Unity ( 1st level – Graphic/Level design integration)
  • Progression storyboarding and project defense

By submitting Stori to Hits Playtime, a student video game project competition, we managed to win the Gameplay Award !

What is Stori ?

Stori is a 2D Puzzle/Adventure game set in a comic strip world, where you can rearrange the BD gutters surrounding you by destroying or creating them.

Set in a unique world blending nature and technology together, where you control a forest spirit which encounter robot in his way to reboot the entire ‘sleeping’ robot civilisation.

This project was my end year project for my first year of  Master degree at CNAM ENJMIN as a game designer student !

Intentions / Vision

A comic strip world

An universe entirely illustrated into a comic strip style where puzzles, mechanics and rules result from some of the real comic strip layouts.

Experience new things

We wanted the player to feel like having a real impact on the level layout, like an artist in front of his creations.

Letting the player see a level like something he can/must rearrange to overcome challenges.

Make puzzles out of a new comic strip system offering a lot of new possibilities.
